One day, back in June of 2008, my friend Paige said, "I have to do something intellectual. More so than changing diapers." So, a small group of us, Fawn, Becky, Paige and I, began Sweet Potato Book Club. We meet in book shop cafes or my house and chat about what we're reading that month.
It became an outlet for those of us who had young kids at home, and grew to become much larger than that. We have since opened the "read along with us" feature by starting a Facebook page. Just search for our group and you can post your comments to the featured book. I love that my friend in New York City can read a book along with me. It makes her feel closer.
Here's a chronological running list of what we've read. As you can see, we'll read anything.
